Armor of God

May we not be blinded by the possessions of the world for that only makes you more like them: selfish and apathetic. For a long time now, I have ignored the voice of the Holy Spirit. My eyes were fixed upon what I thought would help me. Today that veil seems to be cursing me. Your eyes oh God I need to rid me of this veil. I was lost for a long time and hurt my near and dear ones. I cry out to you Oh God to please rescue me and help to totally rely on you ALONE.

I look around, “What have you not provided?” There isn’t a thing that I can claim mine. All things came from you. And today, when You asked me to give- why did I give a second thought? Why? I feel miserable that I did. I ask for forgiveness and ask that you’d transform my heart and let me open my hands for where the need is most.

I guess we all come to this pit again and again. No matter how mature a Christian we may think we are. We will be badly disappointed that there are still traces of sin that will take you the same road with different scenery repeatedly. As Satan disguises himself and tricks us. Call upon the Lord, depend on the Holy Spirit and ask for a discerning spirit to rescue you from his trickery. My eyes well up thinking how deeply I was deceived. And still more to know that God has rescued me in time to fight against this power of darkness. I hate you. I hate you for keeping in darkness. I say you deserve no mercy and you deserve no sympathy. You only deserve hate and that’s all you are. Never come close to me, oh you king of lies. I deplore you!! Yes I DO.

Ephesians 6
The Armor of God

10Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.
