I was in Kathmandu last year. When I landed in the only international airport we have in the evening, I was infuriated to have not found my luggage. This was nothing new to me. It had happened in the past too. Upon contacting the airline’s international office in Doha, I was told that the luggage was stuck at Hamad airport. I had no choice but file a complaint and leave the airport without my belongings. There were many pedestrians waiting outside for their ride. Some with relatives and financial might were hoping to get a ride home to be with family while other -not so lucky ones – were wondering where to go for the night or not be stranded in the cold. Some pedestrians just arrived to greet and meet their loved ones but some were walking with little enthusiam and a heavy heart trying to get to the airport to try their luck for better future for themselves and family in middle eastern countries.
